Embark on a transformative journey this spring as we invite women from around the world to come together and experience the breathtaking beauty of Greece. Our walking and hiking trip is carefully crafted to provide a unique blend of spiritual growth, natural exploration, and cultural immersion.

Join us as we lace up our hiking boots and take inspiring steps through the stunning landscapes of Greece. From majestic mountains to coastal paths and ancient trails, we'll traverse the country's most captivating natural wonders. Along the way, we'll encounter picturesque villages, vibrant wildflowers, and awe-inspiring vistas that will invigorate our souls.

But this journey isn't just about the trails; it's an opportunity for women to connect, uplift, and support one another on a deeper level while connecting with their Creator. Through time spent together walking, eating, and conversing, we'll create a space for spiritual growth and transformation. As we explore Greece's historical wonders, including ancient ruins, sacred sites, and iconic landmarks, we'll delve into the rich Christian heritage that permeates the land.

Prices are based on rooms with two occupants.

Route

  • Day 1: Arrival Arrival to Santorini, we will meet you at the airport with a private transfer to our hotel.
  • Day 2: Transfer to Pyrgos and walk from Pyrgos to Emborio and Emborio-Akrotiri.
  • Day 3: Transfer to the port. High-speed ferry from Santorini to Naxos.
    Depending on the time of arrival afternoon may be spent sightseeing and relaxing.
  • Day 4: Transfer to Kynidaros and walk Kynidaros to Eggares. Afternoon transfer from Eggares to hotel.
  • Day 5: Transfer to Filoti. Part of the walk from Filoti to Apiranthos where we will have a coffee break in Filoti and take a village stroll. Then we will have a drop-off at the nearby  Marina Chapel and walk via the Fotodoti monastery to Apeiranthos. We will take a village stroll and break for lunch. Transfer to Chora.
  • Day 6: Free time in the morning in Naxos Chora to visit the Kastro and town center. Afternoon Transfer to the port of Naxos. Ferry from Naxos to Santorini. 
  • Day 7: 5-Hour Catamaran Cruise and dinner in Santorini.  
  • Day 8: Departure Home -  You will travel back to the airport by private transfer and depart for your home.

Details

Day 1 Arrival on Santorini ã Santorini

Your trip starts at Santorini airport where you will be met by our driver to take you to the village of Akrotiri.

You may walk a short round walk from Akrotiri along the caldera or visit Akrotiri Ancient Site which is within walking distance from your 4-star hotel.

Day 2 Walk from Pyrgos to Akrotiri ã Santorini

Today a transfer will take you to Pyrgos. After a stroll through this very nice village, you start your walk via an old path through the quiet interior of the island. You walk through vineyards to Emporio. From this village, you continue walking through the volcanic landscape, back to Akrotiri village. 

You may visit the ancient site after your walk as well. 

Day 3 Travel to Naxos 

In the early morning, you will be transferred to the port and travel by high-speed vessel to Naxos.

On Naxos, you will be met at the port and taken to your hotel. In the afternoon you can make the 1.5-hour walk to Chrisostomos starting from the port. This way you get to know the town and will admire great views over Chora while stretching your legs. 

Day 4 Walk from Kynidaros to Eggares ã Naxos

Transfer by coach to Kynidaros. You will make an easy walk to the small village of Eggares. Explore its picturesque churches and two restored olive presses one of which dates back to 1885. 

Enjoy lunch in one of the tavernas on the stone-built main square before returning to your hotel. You will be picked up after lunch for your transfer back to Chora.

Day 5 Walk from Agia Marina chapel to Apiranthos ã Naxos

That morning we will travel to the village of Filoti. After a short stroll, you will be taken to the Agia Marina chapel at the foot of Mt. Zas. From this point, your walk will continue through agricultural fields and along a picturesque monastery to the village Apiranthos, one of the biggest villages on Naxos. After a relaxing break in a local café, you will be transferred back to Naxos Chora. 

Day 6 Travel back to Santorini

Free time in the morning in Naxos Chora to walk to the Kastro and town center. We will have a transfer to the port of Naxos to take the ferry from Naxos to Santorini.

Shuttle to Fira, the beautiful capital of Santorini (also called Thira). Here you can explore the narrow alleys of this whitewashed town, built on the top of the volcanic cliffs. It houses a couple of interesting museums, such as the Museum of Prehistoric Thira and the Archaeological Museum.

Day 7 Catamaran Cruise

Embark on an extraordinary adventure that promises luxury and exclusivity! Live the dream and explore hidden corners of Santorini that are accessible only by boat. Day 8 Departure

You will be transferred to the airport of Santorini for your outbound flight.

The trip is open to 12 women. 

Prices and dates may be subject to change due to travel and visa restrictions in the EU.

The nearest airport is Santorini Airport (JTR). 

Some European countries require a tourist tax of between $4 and $10. This cost can not be predetermined at the time of booking. Therefore all tourist taxes will be subject to payment by the traveler.

Payment Details

Upon receipt of your booking confirmation, a deposit of $1000, as well as a $50 non-refundable application fee is required. The deposit will be deducted from the total tour cost. One-half of the remaining cost will be due December 1, 2023. The full tour cost must be paid to A Woman’s Journey at the latest by March 1, 2024.

Cancellation Policy

If you have to cancel your trip for any reason whatsoever, the following cancellation fees are applicable:

  • Cancellations from 60 to 30 days before departure date: 80% of the tour cost will be refunded
  • Cancellations from 29 to 15 days before departure date: 60% of the tour cost will be refunded
  • Cancellations from 14 to 9 days before departure date: 40% of the tour cost will be refunded
  • Cancellations from 8 days of the intended departure date will be non-refundable

Any cancellation refunds will exclude any and all credit card & processing fees.
